The Van Horne Family Burial Plot

Sir William Cornelius Van Horne was the man charged with completing the Canadian Pacific. See http://www.biographi.ca/EN/ShowBio.asp?BioId=41876. I found that he, originally an American (who ironically had his first rail job with the Illinois Central), was buried in Joliet, Illinois. This was not too far off our path to a family reunion in Peoria, so we made a point of stopping.

The Van Horne family plot, in Joliet, Illinois.

It is located not far from a rail yard and the Illinois river.
